Director of Central Dispatch

 

            Clare County Central Dispatch is seeking applicants for the position of Director of Central Dispatch, a division within the Clare County Sheriff’s Department.  The director is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the 911 center.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing leadership in developing programs, training and evaluation of staff, organization and financial plans, and operational oversight in conjunction with the Clare County 911 Advisory Board. 

·       Associates Degree in criminal justice, public safety administration, telecommunications or other area related to emergency services with coursework in management and data processing, or a combination of higher education and related experience.  Knowledge of CAD, MSAG, VOIP, and ETSC is preferred.

·       Five or more years of experience in a fully automated Public Safety/911 dispatch center with two years of supervisory or managerial responsibility preferred.
