VISION

Michigan 4-H Youth Development mobilizes volunteers and communities to meet the needs of youth. 

MISSION

Our mission is to create non-formal, educational opportunities to help youth thrive in a complex and changing world. 

4-H GUIDING PRINCIPLES

The Guiding Principles of the Michigan 4-H Program are that through their 4-H involvement, youth

·       Develop positive relationships with adults and peers.

·       Find 4-H to be an emotionally and physically safe environment.

·       Are actively engaged their own development.

·       Develop skills that help them succeed.

·       Are considered participants rather than recipients in the learning process.

·       Grow and contribute as active citizens through service and leadership.

·       Recognize, understand, and appreciate diversity and multiculturalism.
