Michigan 4-H Youth Development mobilizes volunteers and communities to meet the needs of youth.
MISSION
Our mission is to create non-formal, educational opportunities to help youth thrive in a complex and changing world.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES
The
Guiding Principles of the Michigan 4-H Program are that through their 4-H
involvement, youth

Develop
positive relationships with adults and peers.

Find 4-H to
be an emotionally and physically safe environment.

Are actively
engaged their own development.

skills that help them succeed.

Are
considered participants rather than recipients in the learning process.
